SHA is the premier emergency contact and concierge service for students attending schools in the USA. We've created a nationwide network of services designed exclusively for families that can be accessed 24hrs a day, including guardian support.
Our team is available same-day for any emergency or campus closure. Families can also book transportation, airport services, and holiday break packages in advance during the year.
With programs aligned with school schedules, the SHA Membership provides an exceptional year-round experience for students, giving parents and schools peace of mind knowing support will always be available.
Meet the SHA Team!
Pete has spent the last 15 years leading companies that develop various educational software and progress monitoring tools for schools in both K-12 and higher education. Before co-founding SHA, he served as Senior Vice President & General Manager for an Educational Accessibility Services firm that paired hearing-challenged students with custom services to provide equal access to education at more than 500 institutions across the country. Prior to that he was the General Manager and Regional Sales Director for New Horizons Learning Solutions, an IT Education and Training company that develops online and classroom-based curriculums for technology and software applications such as Microsoft and Adobe.
In addition to leading the company as its CEO, Pete has been actively working on other projects for SHA, including the development of the recently launched "SHA Explore" mobile app. Over the last year, he also conceived and created the company: "Guardian Verify, LLC" - an automated platform to manage the location and support capabilities of student guardians and emergency contacts to improve school's emergency management systems.
In his spare time, Pete trains graduate students at Drexel University's LeBow College of Business to develop effective interview skills to prepare for the workforce, and where he earned his MBA in 2011. Pete is also an avid outdoorsman, with a love for hiking and adventure, as well as a deep passion for "health & wellness". As a parent of 3, Pete founded SHA to address a growing need for safer, more reliable off-campus support for students, especially those who attend school away from home.

Our experienced Chaperones go above and beyond to address the individual needs of each and every student we care for. All of our Chaperones go through extensive background checks and screening to ensure they are qualified to care for students. We also require they have healthcare experience and are trained in first aid, CPR and certified in youth mental health first aid (YMHFA).
