A Guardian Assurance Plan (GAP) provides coverage for students, and gives boarding schools a single point of contact for same-day pickup, 24/7 supervised care, and complete peace of mind — at no cost to your school.

How to get started...

It's easy, and FREE!  Select a plan based on the minimum # of students you want to cover next year (you don't need to know the exact # right away).  Register your school by June 1st to activate your free GAP account, and our team will contact you within 24 hours to review and confirm your plan.

Add students anytime until the September 15th deadline.  Yearly coverage starts August 15 and expires June 15 each academic year.  Monthly plans are available during the summer for coverage between June 15 - August 15.

Depending on the billing option you select, families can either pay annual fees during registration, or to your school.  Either way, there is no cost to provide coverage!

What happens after I register?

Upload your school logo and customize your email message to parents, along with the landing page where they'll register.  Everything parents see will be branded with your school's logo and custom messaging, allowing you to provide your own unique experience for families!

You can view each family's registration progress in real-time from your GAP dashboard, and send reminders to anyone who hasn't completed the process.

All students must be registered by September 15th to have coverage.  Students cannot be added to your plan after the deadline if their parent or guardian is not available during the year.  For this reason, we highly recommend covering all students so everyone has access to same-day pickup and reliable services when needed.

What's included with GAP?

Each student registered to your GAP plan will have access to our trusted emergency contact services, including same-day pickup, hotel or homestay accommodations and 24hr supervision by a certified chaperone.  Depending on which plan you choose, coverage may include (up to) 3 nights FREE for emergencies.

Families will have the option to add-on access to other (non-emergency) services during registration such as Transportation, including Airport Pickup / Drop Off, Unaccompanied Minor Assistance or rides to/from appointments, as well as a variety of Holiday Break Programs during long weekends and all major break periods.

GAP provides coverage for emergency services, and families can tailor their plan to fit the specific needs of their student during the year.

One Emergency Contact

SHA Services are 100% reliable!  We contract with each family directly when services are needed, so SHA can be listed as the Emergency Contact for a group of students, or the entire school.  We are available 24/7 for same-day pick up whenever a student needs to be off campus for any reason.

If a student does not have any local support nearby, the School can contact SHA to provide any care needed in an emergency.  We assume all responsibility until the student returns home or back to campus.

Guardianship Contract REQUIRED!

In case of isolation or hospitalization, SHA provides adult-supervised, overnight care to students in hotels for quarantine.  We require each family to go through our online membership and registration process to provide consent and approval for guardianship of their student before any SHA Services can be provided.  Services cannot be booked online without a membership.

If the student's School is covering them with a Guardian Assurance Plan (GAP) the family will complete this process during registration after the school adds them to their plan.  All Services can then be booked online through the family's member portal.
