24HR EMERGENCY CARE (off-campus)

Description

Service is automatically provided in the event of an emergency.

No payment required for any care provided during first 24 hours.  Included with all memberships!

EMERGENCY PROCEDURE:
1. Pick up from campus within 3-6 hours of receiving notice
2. Private car or limo service will transport student to hotel nearby
3. Chaperone will be waiting for student to check them in
4. Student is connected to a healthcare professional (mental health emergencies require pre-assessment)
5. SHA Chaperone will provide any care required
6. SHA will connect with family during this time to determine what type of care and supervision will be needed after 24hrs.

Any service provided after 24hrs will be invoiced separately.

This gives the family time to make a decision on next steps (continue daily care at the hotel, return home or back to school etc.).  SHA will provide care for as long as needed based on the family’s preference.
